In the fast evolving world of maritime bunkering, AMS Barging is pioneering new bunker measurement systems.
We’re proud to be the first bunkering company in the port of Rotterdam to officially install a certified Mass Flow Meter on our bunker barge Jade under the new bunker permit. Barges Amulet and Elixer have also been outfitted with Mass Flow Meters and will be added to the bunker permit soon.
Taking inspiration from ports like Singapore, we’ve moved swiftly to align with future regulations set for January 1, 2026. But we’re not just meeting these upcoming standards – we’re already exceeding them. Our proactive approach ensures that by Q2 2025, all seven of our bunker barges equipped with a bunker boom will feature this new technology.
Our commitment to precision doesn’t stop there. For our barges with dual piping systems, we’ve gone the extra mile by installing two Flow Meters to ensure the highest level of accuracy. This isn’t just about compliance; it’s about responding to our customers’ desire for transparency in fuel delivery.
