AMS Barging founders, Igor Jansen and Ton van der Molen, are redefining what it means to be entrepreneurs. With a clear vision rooted in innovation and sustainability, they’ve grown AMS Barging into a forward-thinking, growing company.

Managing everything from the wheelhouse of one of their barges, they have built the organisation from the ground up – and they are far from done.
As two born entrepreneurs, Igor and Ton wanted to make sure they were building a long-lasting and consistent organisation. While expanding their fleet with sustainable vessels, powered by biodiesel and LNG, the founders stepped on the shore and started growing professionally. This generated a growing trust in AMS Barging by partners.
Now, AMS Barging manages a fleet of 11 barges and counting, and an onshore team of over 12 colleagues. Nevertheless, Igor and Ton are just getting started. After one ambitious plan is completed, the next plan is ready to be executed.
